We Offer Premium Outdoor Decking Solutions In Dubai

What Is Wooden Decking?

Wooden decking is outdoor flooring made from boards fixed to a raised frame, creating a level, comfortable surface for outdoor seating areas, poolside decks, patios, roof terraces and balconies. In Dubai, the two main options are WPC decking (wood plastic composite) and natural wood decking cut from durable hardwoods. Both give your outdoor spaces the warmth and visual appeal of wood, but they differ in maintenance requirements, feel underfoot and long term savings.
We supply and install both types across residential and commercial spaces, and we help every customer choose the right decking solution for their space, budget, style and design preferences.

Trusted by hotels, businesses and homeowners across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Aged Walnut

Aged Walnut brings deep, warm brown tones and a textured wood grain to patios and garden decks. Its rich colour hides dust and everyday wear well, and the weather resistant composite surface keeps its look through intense sun and occasional rain.

Blackened Legno

Blackened Legno is a bold, charred-wood effect inspired by traditional Japanese timber finishes. It suits modern villas and rooftop lounges, and works best in shaded or covered outdoor seating areas, as darker boards absorb more heat in direct sunlight.

Dark Wood

Dark Wood gives terraces and balconies a sleek, luxurious finish with a subtle grain texture. Its low maintenance composite construction resists fading, staining and moisture, making it a stylish choice for residential and commercial spaces.

Grizzly

Grizzly is a rugged, mid-brown decking with a strong natural wood character and a textured, slip resistant surface. It is a practical, hard-wearing option for high traffic areas such as family gardens, restaurant terraces and pool surrounds.

Pacific Sand

Pacific Sand is a light, sandy tone that keeps outdoor spaces bright and relaxed, with a coastal feel. Lighter boards stay cooler underfoot in Dubai’s climate, which makes Pacific Sand one of our most popular choices for poolside decks.

Why Choose WPC Decking In Dubai?

  • Low maintenance. WPC decking needs no oiling, sanding or staining. Occasional cleaning with mild soap and warm water keeps it looking fresh, making it the most low maintenance outdoor decking option available.
  • Weather resistant. WPC decking is resistant to warping, cracking and rotting, and it is not affected by termites, pests, mould or mildew.
  • Long lasting. With proper care, WPC decking lasts 25 years or more, which delivers real long term savings compared with traditional wood decking that needs regular treatment.
  • Natural wood look. Modern WPC boards carry realistic wood grain textures and colours, giving you the natural wood aesthetic without the maintenance issues.
  • Slip resistance. Grooved and textured surfaces give excellent slip resistance around swimming pools and in wet areas.
  • A sustainable choice. WPC is made using recycled materials and reclaimed wood fibers, making it one of the most eco friendly materials for outdoor flooring and an alternative to cutting new timber.

What Is WPC Decking Made Of? Wood Fibers And Recycled Materials

WPC (wood plastic composite) decking is made by combining wood fibers or wood powder with plastic and a small amount of additives. A typical board is around 60% wood powder, 30% plastic (often recycled polyethylene) and 10% UV stabilisers, colour pigments and bonding agents. The result is a board that looks and feels like wood but behaves more like a modern composite material: it does not absorb water like natural wood, it will not splinter, and it holds its shape in heat.

WPC boards come in hollow, semi-solid and solid profiles, usually 20 to 25mm thick. Hollow boards are lighter and more economical for balconies and residential patios, while solid boards are exceptionally durable and better suited to high traffic commercial areas. Co-extruded (capped) boards add a protective outer shell for extra resistance to fading, stains and scratches.

Natural Wood Decking: Teak, Ipe, Iroko And Thermowood

For homeowners who want real wood, natural wood decking offers an authentic, organic look and warmth that develops character over time. Quality timber also stays more comfortable underfoot than stone or dark synthetic surfaces. Selecting the correct timber species is vital for longevity in Dubai’s climate:

Teak

Extremely strong and weather resistant, with a high natural oil content and outstanding dimensional stability. Teak decking is ideal for heavy traffic areas and poolside decks.

Ipe

An ultra-dense South American hardwood with supreme hardness and natural resistance to rot, insects and wear. One of the most durable decking woods available.

Iroko

An African hardwood with a rich golden-brown grain and a naturally water-repellent texture, often chosen as a more affordable alternative to teak.

Thermowood

Timber that has been thermally modified with heat and steam, which improves its resistance to rot and reduces dimensional changes.

Cedar

A lighter softwood with natural resistance to insects and decay, best suited to shaded, low traffic areas.

Teak and ipe are widely regarded as the leading natural wood choices for Dubai. High-density hardwoods resist warping and splitting under sunlight and perform well in Dubai’s heat when properly maintained. Standard softwoods, by contrast, dry out and splinter quickly in intense sunlight without protective treatment.

Decking Built To Withstand Dubai's Climate

Dubai’s environment is one of the toughest in the world for outdoor flooring. Decks face intense UV radiation, extreme summer surface temperatures that can exceed 70°C, sudden humidity and, in coastal developments such as Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina, salty air cycles. Installing wooden decking in Dubai requires careful consideration of these local conditions.

That is why we recommend either high-performance composite materials or resilient tropical hardwoods for outdoor decking in Dubai. Lighter colours stay cooler in direct sunlight than dark boards, so for exposed pool decks and roof terraces we will guide you toward shades that stay comfortable underfoot. Composite decking has become especially popular in high-temperature regions because it is one of the modern solutions that combines weather resistance, durability and minimal maintenance.

Decking For Poolside Areas, Gardens, Patios And Balconies

Our outdoor decking suits almost every outdoor space:

Pool decks and poolside areas

Slip resistant boards that stay stable around swimming pools and handle constant splashing.

Patio decking and gardens

Level outdoor seating areas and dining spaces that pair well with artificial grass and landscaping.

Balconies and roof terraces

Lightweight WPC decking that clicks over existing tiles in apartments.

Commercial spaces

Hotels, restaurants, beach clubs, cafés and office terraces, where high traffic and a seamless finish matter.

We install across Dubai, including Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, Emirates Hills, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Hills and Jumeirah, as well as Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Complete the look with outdoor wooden furniture, a custom pergola or outdoor curtains for shade.

Slip Resistant Decking For High Traffic Areas

Safety is a priority wherever people walk barefoot or water collects. Our WPC boards feature grooved or embossed wood grain surfaces for excellent slip resistance, even when wet. For high traffic areas such as hotel pool decks and restaurant terraces, we recommend solid or co-extruded boards and closer joist spacing, which spread the load evenly and keep the surface firm and quiet underfoot.

Expert Installation: How We Build A Deck That Lasts

Most decking problems come from the frame underneath, not the boards. Our expert installation covers every detail:

Substructure

Aluminium or composite joists, spaced to distribute load evenly across the decking, typically 300 to 400mm apart depending on board type and use.

Expansion gaps

Gaps between boards and at walls to accommodate thermal expansion in Dubai’s heat.

Drainage and ventilation

A slight fall and open airflow beneath the deck to prevent water accumulation and mould growth.

Fastening systems

Hidden clip systems for a clean, seamless finish, with corrosion-resistant stainless steel fixings that are essential for durability in coastal areas.

Finishing

Matching edge trims, fascia boards and step nosings for a neat, safe edge.

This careful approach reduces installation complexity on site and gives you a deck that stays flat, stable and aesthetically pleasing for the long term.

Low Maintenance Decking Care

  • WPC decking: sweep regularly and wash with mild soap, warm water and a soft brush. A low-pressure hose removes dust and sand. No oiling or sealing is needed.
  • Natural wood decking: clean regularly to prevent a buildup of abrasive dirt and moisture, and apply a UV-blocking decking oil at least once or twice a year to keep the colour rich and protect the surface from drying out.
  • Both: clear leaves and debris from gaps so water can drain, and use furniture pads to prevent scratches.

With this proper care, your deck will keep its visual appeal through intense sun, dust and occasional rain year after year.

Wooden Decking Dubai FAQs

How much does wooden decking cost in Dubai?
WPC decking in Dubai typically costs from around AED 230 to AED 450 per square metre for supply, depending on whether the boards are hollow, semi-solid or solid. Natural hardwood decking such as teak and ipe costs more. Substructure, fixings and installation are quoted after a free site visit, as they depend on the size, levels and access of your space.
Is WPC decking better than natural wood in Dubai?
For most homes, yes. WPC decking withstands Dubai's harsh desert climate, resists warping, cracking and rotting, and requires minimal maintenance compared with traditional wood. Natural wood offers a more authentic look and feel, but needs oiling once or twice a year to protect it from UV damage.
How long does WPC decking last?
WPC decking can last for 25 years or more with proper care. Solid and co-extruded boards generally last longest, especially in high traffic and commercial areas.
Is WPC decking waterproof?
WPC decking is highly water resistant and does not rot or swell like natural wood, which is why it is so popular around swimming pools. It still needs a properly drained substructure so water does not collect underneath.
Does WPC decking get hot in the sun?
All outdoor surfaces heat up in Dubai's summer, and dark boards absorb more heat than light ones. For exposed pool decks and roof terraces, we recommend lighter colours such as Pacific Sand, and shade from pergolas or umbrellas where possible.
Which natural wood is best for decking in Dubai?
Teak and ipe are the leading choices. Teak is strong, weather resistant and naturally oily, while ipe is ultra-dense and extremely hard-wearing. Iroko is a good-value alternative, and thermowood suits budget natural wood decks.
Is WPC decking eco friendly?
Yes. WPC decking is made using recycled materials, including reclaimed wood fibers and recycled plastic, and its long lifespan means fewer replacements over time. It is a more sustainable choice than cutting new timber for every project.
Can decking be installed over existing tiles on a balcony?
Often, yes. WPC decking can be laid on a lightweight frame or interlocking tiles over existing balcony tiles, as long as drainage is kept clear and building rules allow it. We check levels, door heights and drainage during the site visit.
How do I clean and maintain my deck?
Sweep regularly and wash WPC decking with mild soap, warm water and a soft brush. For natural wood, clean regularly to remove abrasive dirt and moisture, and re-oil once or twice a year. Keep gaps clear of debris so water can drain.
Does wooden decking add value to a property?
A well-built deck creates usable outdoor living space, and wooden decking can add tangible market value to residential properties, especially villas with gardens or pools.
