Curtains Dubai: Frequently Asked Questions
How much do curtains cost in Dubai?
Curtains in Dubai are priced per square meter of finished curtain. Custom curtains start from around AED 45 per square meter in polyester and cotton, with linen, jacquard, silk and velvet costing more. Blackout lining, thermal lining and motorized tracks are quoted separately. You get a written quote in AED after the free measure.
Do you make blackout curtains in Dubai?
Yes. Blackout curtains are the most requested window treatment we make. We line your chosen fabric with a dense blackout lining and measure the windows for generous overlap, because choosing wider curtain panels enhances light blocking efficiency. Blackout curtains work on any windows, including tall or wide windows where two panels meet. Blackout curtains in Dubai are often combined with sheers for heat management as well as darkness.
Can you install motorized curtains?
Yes. Motorized curtains can be controlled via smartphone, remote or voice, and scheduled to open and close automatically. Our motorized curtain fitting setups run on concealed tracks with quiet motors, and work with any fabric or heading style. They suit tall windows, floor-to-ceiling glass and media rooms.
Do you offer free measurement and installation?
Free window measurements are included, anywhere in Dubai, with no obligation. Professional installation ensures a perfect fit for curtains, and our own fitters carry out every installation rather than a subcontractor. Installation is quoted within the job, not added afterwards.
What types of curtains do you offer?
Types of curtains include sheer, thermal, blackout, linen, jacquard, embroidered sheer, wave, eyelet, pelmet and outdoor curtains, plus plain window curtains in any fabric we stock. We also supply curtain rod systems, tracks, pelmets, linings and curtain accessories. Every curtain is made to measure rather than bought ready-made.
Which fabrics are best for Dubai's climate?
Using UV-resistant fabrics is important in Dubai to improve indoor comfort and stop colours fading. Thermal or lined curtains are recommended for protecting against Dubai's intense sunlight. Linen and cotton breathe well in heat, velvet insulates best, and silk should always be lined.
How long does curtain installation take?
Most curtain installations take a few hours for a single room, and a full villa of windows is usually completed in a day. Tailoring time depends on fabric availability and the number of windows, and your lead time is confirmed with the quote.
Should I choose curtains or blinds?
It depends on the window and the room. Curtains give better insulation, better sound absorption and a softer look on large windows. Blinds give precise daylight control in a slimmer profile, and suit small or awkward windows better than curtains do. Many Dubai homes use both, with roller blinds or quality blinds behind curtains for layered control. We supply and install both, so the recommendation is based on the room rather than what we happen to stock.
Can you match curtains across multiple rooms?
Yes. We cut from the same roll wherever possible so colour matches exactly across multiple rooms, and we keep your fabric details on file in case you add new curtains later. Matching window curtains across a villa is much easier done in one order than in stages.
Which areas of Dubai do you cover?
Curtains in Dubai are installed by our own fitters, and curtain installations cover all of Dubai, including Jumeirah, Palm Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Business Bay, Dubai Marina, Downtown, Arabian Ranches, Emirates Hills, Dubai Hills, Damac Hills, Mirdif, Deira and Bur Dubai. The free measure covers all of them.
